Assigning a task to a user
Who can assign a task
Any user can assign a task to a Contributor when the form is a draft.
Form Owners can assign tasks to Investigators or Observers after submission.
How to assign a task
Tasks can be assigned in two different locations:
Assigning tasks on the Form Dashboard
- Click the Edit button beside the assignment you are adding/editing.

- A pop up window will appear with the task management options.

- User / Group: Select whether you want to assign the task to a user or a group
- Search: Search for the user or specific group to assign the task
- Due Date: Set the task due date
- Status: View and update the task status
- Task Description: You can use the default description or customize to fit your needs.
Assigning tasks on form submissions

- Tasks require a Due Date in order to appear in the To-Do list on a user's dashboard.
- A Task description is also required. You can use the default description or customize to fit your needs.
