Can custom APE metrics be created and tracked?

Can custom APE items be created and tracked?

  • Yes! Client Administrators and Form Owners are also able to create custom APE items and set the QE score for those items.
  • Click APE Metrics Data on the upper-right of the screen.

  • Click  at the top right corner.
  • Enter custom APE metric name, description (optional), and Quantifiable Effect.
  • Click Create API Metric when finished.


  • Once the APE item and associated QE have been created, you will need to manually update the current value monthly.

For example, let's say an organization wants to receive APE points for holding a safety stand down and they assign it a QE value of 5. Then, in a given month, they hold a stand down for flight operations and another for maintenance. At the end of the month, the Safety Manager/Form Owner would enter "2" in current value which would yield an APE score of 10 for that item for that month.






  • APE data updates daily. Any new metrics may not appear immediately, but should appear the following day.
