Using the Mark Publishable, Preview, and More buttons

How to Use the Mark Publishable, Preview, and More Buttons

As a Manual Administrator, you’ll find the  Actions button in the upper right corner of your manual editing view. Here’s a breakdown of each key option and how to use it:

Mark Publishable

  • Visibility: Only appears once all Change Requests have been approved.
  • Function: Locks the manual to prevent further edits and notifies Baldwin that the manual is ready for publishing.
  • Publishing: The manual will be published to the Documents section the following morning.

Actions Button Options

When you click on Actions, you’ll see the following options:

  • Preview Draft PDF: Generates a new, fully formatted PDF draft with any recent updates, similar to your final published version. Opens in a new window.
  • Review: Resets the Table of Contents to its default view, collapsing all chapters. This is useful for working on longer manuals with expanded chapters or policies.
  • Change Log: Creates a PDF listing policies with changes in the current draft, helpful for printing and reference.
  • Changes: Generates a PDF that includes the full text of all policies with changes, useful for reviewing proposed edits before publishing.

Use these tools to streamline the editing and publishing process and ensure that changes are documented and available for review before finalizing.
