Emergency Operations Center

Emergency Operations Center

What is it?

The Emergency Operations Center is part of the Emergency Response (ER) Alert feature and is only visible when you have an active drill or actual event.

The EOC is where Emergency Operations Team members can document and view all information related to the ongoing drill or event. The EOC keeps all event related history in one place to easily access post event.

Where does the EOC appear and who can view it?

Once an Emergency Response Manager has activated a drill or actual event, members of the Emergency Operations Team will see a new option in their main menu titled ER Alert. Members can access the EOC by clicking the links in the email and text notifications, if configured. They can also access it inside of Baldwin after logging in.

  • The link will appear at the top of the left hand menu once a drill or actual event has been activated.

What appears in the EOC?

  • Active Emergencies:
    • Should you have multiple active Drill and/or Actual emergencies, you can move to different emergencies in the EOC via this dropdown. The EOC content will update based on the selected emergency.

  • Event Status and Critical Information:
    • Space to note any critical information related to the event that all EOT members can access. This should not be used for IMs or back and forth conversations.
      • Examples of Critical Information:
        • Pilots are OK and with first responders.
        • FBO has quarantined a fuel sample that's available for the NTSB.
  • Assigned Forms:
    • Emergency Response Managers can assign a member of the EOT to complete a specific form/checklist.
      • Emergency Response Managers are automatically assigned to the Draft as a Contributor. This allows them to assign other Contributors and transfer responsibility if the original creator is unavailable.
      • Assigned users will have an option to start the draft directly from the EOC. They will also see a "Mine" tag to designate which forms they have been assigned.

    • Emergency Response Documents:
      • Any Document uploaded by an Emergency Response Manager in the Configuration area will appear here for all EOT members to access.
    • Emergency Response Manuals:
      • Any Baldwin maintained manual that an Emergency Response Manager has selected in the Configuration area will appear here.
    • Emergency Operations Team:
      • A list of all team members will appear here. You will be able to see whether or not an EOT member has checked in to the EOC, as well.
    • Other Emergency Contacts:
      • Any additional contact an Emergency Response Manager entered in the Configuration area will appear here.
